Engineering, Construction Cost and On-Site Integration
Our next step will be to transform the approved concept into a fully integrated body of plans, specifications, budgets, and contractual agreements necessary to commence construction. Imagen will manage the detailed engineering process to yield a final design at the lowest possible cost.
We will select a pool of qualified local subcontractors, and oversee the bidding process that will target the approved budget. Working with the Hill Group, we have the ability to construct engineering components within their Franklin Park, Illinois manufacturing plant – an opportunity that saves on cost and scheduling.
As the process moves forward, Imagen will coordinate with our engineers, the local utilities and the various governmental entities – a complete engineered construction package – a package to obtain all necessary approvals, permits, potential tax incentives / rebates and the energy negotiations required to construct the Project.
Construction Implementation and Operations
Provide administrative and onsite management of the construction phase of the Project including:
- Provide onsite personnel to manage and coordinate the construction activity
- Direct the review and approval of shop drawings
- Evaluate the review and response to the subcontractor’s Request for Information (RFI)
- Administer the review and approval of proposed changes, change orders, etc.
- Supervise the onsite testing of work and materials
- Coordinate the delivery of direct supplied materials
- Perform walk-through and punchlists
- Manage commissioning of the re-engineered power plant systems
Imagen will manage and refine the Construction Schedule to ensure that the purchasing, pre-fabrication and construction durations are consistent with the agreed upon development plan. We will direct all aspects of the procurement, delivery and installation of the engineered power plant systems; and provide full administrative functions for the Project including complete and accurate accounting, monthly reports, contract administration, etc. At project completion, Imagen will provide the As-Built Drawings / Equipment Acceptance Report to your building group.
