BiomassĀ Conversion

Biomass is a process that recycles organic matter such as plant materials, vegetation, agricultural waste and leftover food products by incinerating theses items to produce a cleaner form of energy. Biomass can be converted into energy via direct combustion to produce heat, or indirectly after converting it to various forms of biofuel. Biomass contains stored energy and when burned, this stored energy is released as heat.

Environmental Benefits:

  • Eliminates the need to burn fossil fuels
  • Reduces volume of material sent to landfills
  • Renewable power production
  • Reduce Greenhouse gas emissions
  • High conversion rates

Items that can be re-used to produce energy:

  • Food waste
  • Municipal Solid waste (trash)
  • Construction/Demolition wood waste
  • Crop and Animal Waste
  • Tires
  • Trees
